We have built practically everything IKEA sells and know how long each item takes to do properly.
PAX Wardrobes
All frame sizes (50cm, 75cm, 100cm wide; 201cm and 236cm tall). Hinged doors, sliding doors, no doors. All KOMPLEMENT internal fittings including drawers, pull-out rails, shoe racks, trouser hangers, and soft-close hinges. Corner PAX units.
PAX Wardrobe Detail →Beds
MALM, HEMNES, BRIMNES, NEIDEN, TARVA, SAGSTUA, SONGESAND. Standard frames, storage beds with drawers, and day beds. IKEA children's beds including KURA, STUVA, MYDAL, and SVÄRTA bunk beds.

Storage & Shelving
KALLAX (all sizes), BILLY bookcases, BESTÅ TV and wall units, HEMNES sideboards, BRIMNES chests of drawers, NORDLI modular chests. Wall-fixing available for all items IKEA recommends securing.

Nursery Furniture
SNIGLAR and SUNDVIK cots, STUVA changing tables, GULLIVER cot beds. All assembled to British Standards for nursery furniture.

Chest of Drawers
MALM, HEMNES, KULLEN, NORDLI, RAST. We align every drawer and adjust the fronts so they sit flush and operate smoothly.

MICKE, ALEX, LINNMON desks. LISABO, EKEDALEN dining tables and chairs. If IKEA sells it in a flat pack, we build it.

Full PAX wardrobe system
Three PAX frames (100cm + 100cm + 50cm), sliding Auli doors, KOMPLEMENT drawers, pull-out trouser rail, shoe racks, and soft-close device. Wall-fixed to a plasterboard wall. Typical job: 4–5 hours.
MALM bedroom set
MALM double bed with two under-bed storage boxes, two MALM bedside tables, and a MALM 6-drawer chest. All items in the same visit. Typical job: 3–4 hours.
KALLAX shelving unit
4×4 KALLAX with inserts, doors, and drawers. Wall-fixed to a solid brick wall. Typical job: 1.5–2 hours.
BRIMNES 3-door wardrobe
Full assembly including door hanging, alignment, and mirror adjustment. Typical job: 2–3 hours.
STUVA children's loft bed
Loft bed with desk, storage, and curtain. Assembled to British Standards for children's furniture. Typical job: 2.5–3 hours.

Why IKEA Assembly Goes Wrong
- PAX frames must be levelled in two planes — floors and walls are rarely flat
- Sliding doors need 2–3cm ceiling clearance and precise track alignment
- Hinged door hinges occupy specific holes — drawers cannot be placed at those positions
- Corner PAX units require levelling in two directions simultaneously
- KOMPLEMENT fittings must be installed in the correct sequence or panels block access
- Soft-close devices affect where internal lights and shelves can be positioned
- Missing parts are often not discovered until mid-assembly
- Tall 236cm PAX units need 244cm ceiling clearance to be assembled lying flat
IKEA furniture is well-made when built correctly. The problems arise from the complexity of the modular system — particularly PAX — where dozens of components must be installed in the right order, at the right position, with the right clearances.
We have been building IKEA furniture since 2004. We know every combination, every common mistake, and every product-specific quirk. The price you are quoted is the price you pay, regardless of how long the job takes.

We email you a fixed price quote, usually within 1 hour during working hours. No hidden extras.
Book a date
Book online or give us three preferred dates. We confirm within 1 hour. We arrive within a 1-hour appointment window.
Job completed
We assemble everything on your list, clean up packaging, and leave the furniture ready to use. You pay by cash or bank transfer on completion.

Do you build PAX wardrobes?

Do you attach IKEA furniture to the wall?
Yes. Wall-fixing is available for tall wardrobes, KALLAX shelving, BESTÅ units, and any other IKEA product that IKEA recommends securing. We follow IKEA's wall-fixing guidance and use appropriate fixings for your wall type.

What if a part is missing when you arrive?
IKEA replaces missing parts free of charge. If a part is missing on the day, we will work around it where possible and return to complete the job once the part arrives. We will not charge a second call-out fee in this situation.
Do I need to check my delivery before you arrive?
Yes — always check your delivery carefully. Check that all boxes are present (IKEA items often come in multiple boxes). Check packaging is undamaged. For PAX wardrobes: hinges are always packaged separately; handles are always sold separately (except Vikdel mirrored doors); PAX wire basket runners are packaged separately.
Do you build IKEA children's beds?
Yes. We build KURA, STUVA, MYDAL, SVÄRTA, and all other IKEA children's beds and loft beds.

How long does IKEA assembly take?
Single PAX frame: 1–1.5 hours. Double PAX with full KOMPLEMENT fittings: 2.5–4 hours. MALM double bed: around 1 hour. BRIMNES 3-door wardrobe: 2–3 hours. We price by complexity, not by time — your fixed price does not change regardless of how long the job takes.
Can I get a quote without knowing the exact product codes?
Yes. Copy and paste your IKEA shopping cart or email receipt into the quote form. A photo of your receipt also works. We will come back to you with a fixed price quote.
