Understanding Our Pricing

See how our transparent pricing system works

How Our Pricing Works

We use a units-based pricing system for transparent, fixed-price quotes. Every item in our database of 30,000+ products from 700+ suppliers has been assigned a unit value based on complexity and assembly time.

1

Units System

Each furniture item is assigned units based on complexity. A simple bedside table might be 1 unit, while a large PAX wardrobe could be 8-12 units.

2

Fixed Price Quote

We look up your items in our database and calculate the total units. Each unit equals a fixed amount of time and cost - no hourly rates or surprises.

3

Call-Out Fee

A single call-out fee covers travel and setup, regardless of how many items you need assembled. The more items, the better value per item.

Why This Works Better

  • No surprises - You know the exact price before we arrive
  • Fair pricing - Complex items cost more, simple items cost less
  • Consistent quality - We know exactly how long each item should take
  • Better value - Assembling multiple items means one call-out fee

Minimum Charge

We have a minimum charge to cover the cost of travel and setup. This ensures we can provide a professional service regardless of job size.

Minimum Charge: From £65

The minimum charge includes our variable call-out fee plus assembly time. Larger jobs offer better value as the call-out fee is spread across more items.

Packaging & Waste Removal

We do not remove packaging or waste materials. We can flatten boxes to make disposal easier, but removal is your responsibility. This keeps our prices competitive and focused on what we do best - professional furniture assembly.

The Waste Disposal Act 2006, imposes strict conditions on the removal of waste by tradesmen with severe penalties for breaching them, for us it is now uneconommical to provide this service, especially when you can dispose of it as domestic waste free of charge.

Tip: Most councils offer bulky waste collection or recycling services for a modest fee. Check your local council website for details.

Frequently Asked Questions

We use a units-based system. Every item in our database of 30,000+ products has been assigned units based on complexity and assembly time. We multiply the units by our rate (£0.57-£0.63 depending on region), add a variable call-out fee (£15-£35), and provide you with a fixed-price quote.
Our minimum charge is £50. This covers the call-out fee and basic assembly time. Larger jobs offer better value as the call-out fee is spread across more items.
The call-out fee varies based on your location relative to our existing work schedule. If we're already working nearby on a particular day, the fee will be lower. This helps us cluster work efficiently, reduce travel costs and pollution, and pass savings on to you.
No, we don't charge hourly rates. We use a fixed units-based system so you know exactly what you'll pay before we arrive. This is fairer than hourly charging where costs can jump unexpectedly.
We need the supplier name, product name or code, and your postcode. Product codes help us look items up in our database quickly. The more detail you provide, the more accurate your quote.
No. The price you see in your quote is the price you pay. We don't add extra charges for tools, travel time, or standard assembly work. Wall-fixing is quoted separately if required.

Supplier Info Required

There are lots of ways to share IKEA information. The simplest two are the 8-digit product codes, for example 123.456.78 (also displayed in many places as 12345678). However, it gets complicated with larger orders and what we call the IKEA Curve Ball. Large Orders: If you can copy and paste your whole order from your receipt (remember quantities are important), that is ideal. If you cannot, you will receive an email and you can email us a photo or screenshot of it — our AI will pull all the codes out and create your quote. IKEA Curve Ball: IKEA use aggregate product codes, so a PAX wardrobe (modular) displayed on their website will have a single product code, which is actually made up of numerous product codes for all the frames, doors and KOMPLEMENT fittings it is built from. IKEA have done this with the MALM beds as well — the bed, the slats and the SKORVA mid-beam all have separate codes. IKEA also have Planners for BESTÅ, PAX and PLATSA to help you design your wardrobe. You can send us your 6-character design code (letters and numbers) and we can view your design and create a quote. However, if you want a quote whilst you are online, please send us all the codes from your order.
