The gas-lift mechanism requires careful assembly — the pistons must be attached at the correct angle and the hinge positions must be precise for the lid to open and close smoothly. How long does bed assembly take?
A standard double bed frame typically takes 45–90 minutes. An ottoman bed takes 1–1.5 hours. A storage bed with drawers takes 1–2 hours. A high bed or loft bed takes 1.5–2.5 hours. We price by complexity, not by time, so your fixed price does not change regardless of how long the job takes.
Do you dismantle and reassemble beds?
Yes. We can dismantle an existing bed and reassemble it in a different room or after a house move. Dismantling and reassembly is quoted separately from new assembly. Note that some flat-pack beds are not designed to be disassembled and reassembled — we will advise if this is the case for your bed.
